Landscaping

We currently have under contract Greenscapes Landscaping Company located in north Naples, Florida.  The Villas HOA coordinates any and all questions regarding landscaping and irrigation issues through our Community Association Management.  Please do not contact Greenscapes directly as they will not respond to your inquiry.  We are channeling all requests through our CAMs so that the board will be able to monitor both the types and frequency of resident's inquiries.  Please call our CAM (Jeanne or Brett at 239-939-2999) to report your problem.  Be specific.

Springtime is dry time in Southwest Florida.  Is is critical that each homeowner monitor the condition of his landscaping.  Starved plants and sod will distress and eventually die.  As such, it is the homeowner's responsibility to replace plants and sod that has died.

In an effort to assist homeowners with irrigation timings, the board has approved placing back-up batteries in each irrigation controller.  This should be completed by early February.  These back-up batteries keep all the timings and internal clock running in the controllers when we lose electricity.  These batteries will last approximately one year.

We follow the guidelines for watering issued by Gateway Services.  They issue watering schedules and our irrigation coordinator from Greenscapes alters the irrigation controllers to meet these guidelines.  We get our irrigation water from our neighborhood storm water retention ponds.

One item that each homeowner can do to protect their landscaping investment is to routinely check your sprinkler heads for damage.  If a head is hit by a lawnmower or run over by the same, it needs be replaced.  Call Jeanne or Brett.

Here's a letter to our HOA from our representative Marc Gingras.
